Product Usage

Applications of water treatment coagulants: Solid or liquid ferric sulfate (non-polymerized) is typically prepared as a 5%–20% aqueous solution (for dissolving in corrosion-resistant equipment). The dosage depends on the water quality (turbidity, pH, contaminants), generally 10–100 mg/L (i.e., 10–100 ppm). The optimal pH range is 4–12 (especially 6–9 for best results). Rapid stirring and mixing are required, followed by slow stirring to promote flocculation and sedimentation. Solid coagulants must not be added directly; they must be pre-dissolved.
